Nick the Ninja 管理者 2011-08-13

Today, we are going to read you the story
“Nick the Ninja”

Narrator:  When Nick was 10 years old he got a Game Boy from his dad for his birthday.   He decided to take his Game Boy to school.  But soon he was afraid because of a boy named Billy Bully.

Jordan- Why is Nick afraid of Billy Bully?

Daniel- Well, the name “Bully” means that someone is mean.

Narrator: Billy Bully would see Nick.

Billy Bully:  Give me your Game Boy.  I will give it back to you at the end of school.  If you tell anyone or don’t bring it tomorrow I will beat you up.

Jordan- Why doesn’t he tell the teacher?

Daniel- He is afraid that Billy Bully will hurt him.

Narrator:  Nick was afraid to tell his dad it was him.

Nick:  Daddy, what should my friend do, someone is taking his things?

Father:   Sometimes your friend should stand up for his rights and fight back.

Nick:   Thanks, Dad, I will tell my friend what you said.

Narrator:  So Nick decided that the next day he would do what his father had said and stand up for his rights.

Daniel- Is that a good idea?

Jordan- I hope he knows what he is doing.

Narrator:  The next day he went to school and saw Billy Bully.

Billy Bully:  Give me your Game Boy.

Nick:    No way, you will have to take it from me.

Billy Bully:  What did you say?  Didn’t you hear me? If you don’t give it to me, I will punch you in the neck and nose.

Nick:   No way, you will have to take it from me.

Billy Bully:  Ok

Narrator:  He punched Nick in his neck and then hit him in the nose and took away his Game Boy.

Jordan- It doesn’t look like that was a good idea, he got hurt.

Daniel- No, I don’t think Nick was ready to stand up for his rights.

Narrator:  Nick went home and his dad saw that Nick was hurt.

Father:   What happened to you?

Nick:  Dad, that wasn’t my friend, that was me, and I tried to stand up for my rights, but Billy Bully punched me in the neck and nose.

Father:  I told you to stand up for your rights, but you also have to be prepared and you were not ready to fight. I will take you to a Ninja teacher who can teach you to fight.

Jordan- Now that sounds like a good idea!!!!!!

Daniel- That is cool, I would like to learn to be a ninja.

Narrator:  Every night he would go to Ninja class.  He went to class every night for two weeks.

Master:  You are a ninja.  You are ready to stand up for your rights and fight back.

Daniel- I am still afraid for Nick, I think he may get hit in the neck and nose again.

Jordan- But he was trained by a Ninja, so I think he will be fine.

Narrator:  Once again, Nick went to school, and once again he saw Billy Bull.

Billy Bully:  Give me your Game Boy.

Narrator:  Nick was ready this time.

Nick:  No way, you will have to take it from me.

Billy Bully:   What did you say?  Didn’t you hear me, if you don’t give it to me I will punch you in the neck and nose.

Nick:  No way, you will have to take it from me.

Billy Bully:   Ok

Narrator:  He started to punch Nick.  But this time Nick used his Ninja skills and stopped the punch.  He then used his Ninja moves to punch Billy Bully in the neck and nose until Billy Bully started to cry.

Nick:  “I will stand up for my rights, and if you ever try and take my Game Boy away from me again, I will do what I did to you today.”
Jordan- Wow!  Nick is my hero.
Daniel-  Yes, he is my hero too.

Narrator: Billy Bully quickly stood up and ran away.  Nick never had a problem again with Billy Bully.
Daniel- Boys and girls, what can you learn from this story?
Jordan- Don’t be afraid to stand up for your rights and fight back.

Thank you for listening to our story about Nick the Ninja.  Goodbye.

Eric the Eskimo’s Easter Egg Hunt 管理者 2011-08-13

Eric the Eskimo’s Easter Egg Hunt

Narrator:  Sunday was going to be Easter.  Eric the Eskimo was going to have an Easter Egg Hunt. He called his friend Ernie the Elephant.

Eric:  Hello, Ernie, can you come to my house for an Easter Egg Hunt?

Ernie:   No way, are you crazy, I don’t like you.  Ha Ha, just kidding.  I would love to come over to your house.

Daniel- What is an Easter Egg Hunt?

Jordan- It is when boys and girls try to find eggs that their mommy and daddy hid.

Narrator:  At the same time, in the North Pole an Elf was making toys for Santa Claus.   This was not a good elf, instead of making toys for the children; this elf would make the toys and take them home.   When Santa Claus found out he yelled out.

Santa Claus:  You are a bad elf, and I don’t want your help anymore.  Leave the North Pole, now, and never come back.

Elf:  I hate you and I hate Christmas.  In fact, I hate all holidays.  The next holiday I will ruin is Easter.  So watch out bunny.

Jordan- I love Christmas, how could the Elf do such a bad thing?

Daniel- In this world there are some good people and some bad people.

Narrator:  Now, let’s get back to Eric.  The night before Easter, Eric’s parents were hiding the eggs.  It just so happened that the evil elf was walking in the woods near his house.  When he saw all the eggs he laughed out loud

Elf:  Ha, Ha, Ha, now is my chance to ruin somebody’s Easter.  I will steal all the eggs and there will be no Easter Egg Hunt. Ha Ha Ha.”

Jordan- I really hate that elf.

Daniel- Yea, he is really evil.

Narrator:  So, on the day of the Easter Hunt, Eric the Eskimo went to look for the eggs, but there were no eggs to be found.

Eric the Eskimo:  Where are my eggs?  Did someone eat them or take them?

Jordan- How will he find out who stole his eggs?

Daniel- Maybe Ernie can help him.

Narrator:  Ernie the Elephant knew he wanted to help his friend.

Ernie the Elephant:  I think someone stole your eggs.  I will use my trunk to help smell for the stolen eggs.

Jordan- He has a big nose so maybe he can really help.

Daniel- He must be able to smell the eggs with his trunk and that will lead him to the person who stole the eggs.

Narrator:  His nose led him to a hill, and there he saw an Evil Elf laughing out loud about all the eggs he had stolen.

Elf:  I can see you elephant, and there is nothing you can do because you are too far away, ha ha ha.”

Daniel - That is not right, I wish Ernie would do something.

Jordan- Maybe he can use his trunk again.

Narrator:  Ernie the Elephant got really angry and said.

Ernie the Elephant:  You may be far away, but I have a very powerful trunk, so watch out.”

Narrator:  He walked up behind the Evil Elf and with his trunk began to blow air very hard.

Jordan- Go Ernie, Go Ernie!

Daniel- Wow! He really does have a strong trunk.

Narrator:  Ernie the Elephant blew so hard that the Evil Elf flew into a tree far away, which was so high he could not climb down.

Daniel- The Evil Elf looks so funny stuck in the tree.

Jordan- I hope he can never get down.

Narrator:  When Ernie the Elephant told Eric the Eskimo he found the eggs.   Then Eric started looking for his eggs.

Jordan- Yea, Ernie is a good friend.

Daniel-  Would you do that for me?

Jordan- Are you ada ada, no way?  Ha ha, yes you are my friend I would help you.

Narrator:  After Eric the Eskimo found all of the Easter Eggs; he shared them with Ernie the Elephant until they could eat no more.

Tristan- Boys and Girls what can you learn from this story?

Jordan- Don’t steal from others, you may end up in a tree.
Thank you for listening to our story about Eric the Eskimo’s Easter Egg Hunt.  Goodbye.

Hello, today we will read you a story about
“Cathy the Cat.”

Narrator:  When Cathy the Cat was growing up, she wanted to be a cook.  She would read books and watch TV about cooking.

Daniel- I like to cook too.

Jordan- You don’t know how to cook.

Narrator:  While she was learning to be a cook, her friends were playing or sleeping.

Good and Bad Cat:  Why do you want to be a cook, don’t you know, cats can not cook.

Cathy the Cat:   I don’t care what you say, I want to be a cook.

Jordan- I don’t think Cathy the Cat can cook.

Daniel- Let’s watch and see.

Cathy the Cat:  I will make a cookie and a cake and if you don’t believe me, then you can not have any.

Narrator:  Some of her friends believed her, but some of her friends didn’t.

Daniel- Why don’t her friends believe her?

Jordan- Because CATS CAN’T COOK!

Narrator:  While Cathy the Cat was watching TV, she saw there was a cooking contest.  She decided to enter the cooking contest, making her best cake and cookie.  So, the cook began to eat the cake and cookie.  He then started rubbing his tummy, and all of a sudden, he threw up the cake and cookie all over Cathy.

Cook:   That is the worst cake and cookie I have ever eaten.  You are a terrible cook, go away.

Jordan- I told you that cookie and cake would be bad.

Daniel- But at least she tried to be a cook.

Narrator:  Cathy the Cat went back home and her friends were waiting.

Good Cat and Bad Cat:   What happened at the cooking contest?

Cathy the Cat:   The cook threw up my cake and cookie and said I was the worst cook ever.

Good Cat:   It’s okay, you did your best.

Bad Cat:   Ha, Ha, Ha, I told you cats can’t cook.

Cathy the Cat:   I don’t care what you say, I want to be a cook, I will not give up.

Daniel- I think it’s great she is going to keep trying.

Jordan- Does she want the cook to throw up again?

Narrator:  Finally there was another cooking contest.  She decided to try and enter. She would make another cake and cookie for the cooking contest.

Daniel- I hope she does well.

Jordan- I hope the cook doesn’t throw up again.

Narrator:  So the cook ate the cookie and cake.  He started rubbing his tummy.

Cook:   That is the best cake and cookie I have ever eaten. Cathy you are the winner of the cooking contest.

Narrator:  When she got home she told all her friends. Her good friend, who believed, got to eat all her great snacks.  And the friend, who didn’t believe her, didn’t get to eat any of her snacks.

Jordan-Boys and girls, what can you learn from this story?

Daniel- Don’t listen to others who say you can’t do something, if you try you can do anything.

Thank you for listening to our story about Cathy the Cat.  Goodbye.

The Pig, the Parrot, and the Penguin 管理者 2011-08-13

Hello, today we are going to read you the Story
“The Pig, the Parrot, and the Penguin”

Narrator:  Three friends, a pig, a parrot, and a penguin were talking about their lives.

Penguin:  Let’s follow one of our dreams before we die.

Parrot: If were going to do it, lets do it together.

Jordan- They must be good friends.

Daniel- Or maybe they are just afraid to do it alone.

Narrator:  The penguin went first.

Penguin:   I think this will be hard. I always wanted to eat like a pig.

Pig:  That is not hard, I am a pig, you can come to my trough.

Narrator:  So the three friends took part in eating from the pig’s trough.

Jordan- That is gross, eating from a pig’s trough.

Daniel- It must not be that bad, look at how fat the pig is.

Penguin:   I can’t even wobble.

Parrot:   I can’t even fly.

Pig:   Is there more food?”

Narrator: So even though the food was good, they didn’t like it because they got too fat, so they went back home.

Jordan- The fat penguin still looks cute.

Daniel- Maybe, but the parrot can’t even fly.

Narrator:  The parrot went next.
Parrot:   I think this will be really hard.  I want to go to the bottom of the earth.

Penguin:   That is easy.  I come from the bottom of the earth; it’s called the South Pole.

Narrator:  So the three friends took part in going to the South Pole.

Daniel- Would you like to go to the South Pole?

Jordan- Not the South Pole, I want to go to the North Pole, to see Santa Claus.

Penguin:   I love the South Pole.
Pig:   Yea, this is fun, good thing I am so fat, so I don’t feel the cold.”
Narrator:  But the parrot only had muscles.

Parrot: I am too cold to even move.

Narrator:  So even though the snow was good, they didn’t like it because it was too cold, so they went back home.

Daniel- I guess sometimes it is good to be fat.

Jordan- Yes, just ask the pig.

Narrator: The pig went last.

Pig:   I think this will be really, really, hard.  I want to fly.

Penguin:   Me, too!

Parrot and Pig:   I thought you are a bird.

Penguin:  I am a bird.

Parrot:   Can’t birds fly?

Penguin:   Yea, but I can’t fly, I can only swim.

Penguin and Pig:   So how can we fly?

Parrot:   You will have to use a parachute and I will fly next to you.

Jordan- Would you like to jump out of a plane?

Daniel- Only if I can fly! Not with a parachute.

Narrator:  So the pig and penguin jumped from the plane with the parachute on their back. Ad the parrot flying next to them in the air.
But when the pig tried to open the parachute, the parachute flew away.

Narrator- and they were flying down to the ground, to their death.  The penguin hugged the pig, and the parrot grabbed on to the penguin, and started flapping his wings.  The pig, the parrot, and the penguin flew closer and closer to the ground.  But when they hit, they did not die, they just bounced and bounced, bounced and bounced.  The three friends had all lived.

Jordan- That was scary.  I thought they were going to die.  Good thing that pig was so fat.

Daniel- Yea, being fat can be a good thing.  Where is the pig’s home?  I want to start eating right away.

Jordan- Boys and girls, what can you learn from this story?

Daniel- You can learn that it is good to have dreams, even though somethings are good and somethings are bad, don’t forget to go for it.

Thank you for listening to our story.  Goodbye.
